The God Cloths are of a special class of the Cloths that Athena's Saints wield, and less common than even Gold Cloths. They provide even most protection, and cover even more of the body than even the best Cloths.

Cloth Traits

Like all Cloths, God Cloths are alive. Using the Cosmo of the wearer, they function as protection. They can be damaged, though it took attacks from Hades to be able to do so. They would only freeze at temperatures much less than absolute zero, and the wearers can fight at speeds much greater than light, due to their having pushed their Cosmo to the level of a god. With their Cloths being so enduring, their bodies almost entirely covered, and being able to fight at the such insane speeds, harming a God Saint proves impossible to all but a god.

Cloth History

God-Broken As Hell

Unlike other Cloth groups, God Cloths can be made from any constellation, as all it needs is a Cloth with Athena's blood, and a Saint to push their Cosmo to the level of a god. Prior to Saint Seiya, it is said this happened once before, in the Ages of Myth.

God Cloths

Pegasus God Cloth
Pegasus God Cloth.

The Pegasus God Cloth is used by Seiya in Saint Seiya and Saint Seiya: Next Dimension. While having all of the strengths of a God Cloth, it seems to have no unique traits of it's own, outside of being worn by the main character. The current status of the Cloth is unknown.

Dragon God Cloth
Dragon God Cloth.

The Dragon God Cloth is used by Shiryu in Saint Seiya. It's most notable feature is the powerful Dragon God Shield, which has incredible defensive capabilities. It has currently reverted back to a, damaged, Bronze Cloth, and it's unknown if it will be restored to God Cloth status.

Cygnus God Cloth
Cygnus God Cloth.

The Cygnus God Cloth is used by Hyoga in Saint Seiya and Saint Seiya: Next Dimension. While having all of the strengths of a God Cloth, it seems to have no unique traits of it's own, outside of being worn by one of the main character. It has currently reverted back to a, damaged, Bronze Cloth, and it's unknown if it will be restored to God Cloth status.

Andromeda God Cloth
Andromeda God Cloth.

The Andromeda God Cloth is used by Shun in Saint Seiya and Saint Seiya: Next Dimension. It's most notable feature is the mighty Andromeda God Chains, which have incredible offensive and defensive capabilities. It has currently reverted back to a, damaged, Bronze Cloth, and it's unknown if it will be restored to God Cloth status.

Phoenix God Cloth
Phoenix God Cloth.

The Phoenix God Cloth is used by Ikki in Saint Seiya and Saint Seiya: Next Dimension. It's most notable feature is its regeneration abilities, which allow it to be restored without repair or blood, no matter how damaged. It has currently reverted back to a, damaged, Bronze Cloth, and it's unknown if it will be restored to God Cloth status. The fact that it hasn't regenerated is quite strange.

Notable Cloth Abilities

God Pegasus: Main Character Status

Not exactly an ability, but rather, every Pegasus God Saint seen thus far has been the Main Character of their respective series. The Cloth itself seems to have no other real unique ability.

God Dragon: The Unbreakable Shield?

The main feature of the Dragon God Cloth is the Dragon God Shield, the most powerful shield of the Cloths (with the exception of Athena's Aegis Shield). It is an enduring shield that can take all but the most powerful attacks from gods.

God Andromeda: God Chains

The main feature of the Andromeda God Cloth is the Andromeda God Chains, mighty chains with a high level of instinct. One chain has a circular end, symbolizing it's role as a Defensive Chain, while the triangular end on the second chain shows that it is the Offensive Chain. Often, it can warn of impending danger and even strike if it feels too threatened. But, it also recognizes whether or not the foe is really there.

God Phoenix: Immortality

The main feature of the Phoenix God Cloth is it's regeneration. Unlike most Cloth (which can be killed), the Phoenix God Cloth can come back from any level of damage. Even the Saint who owns the Cloth can come back from the dead (or at least, Ikki can).
